Gary Cooper

 

Gary Cooper, Mr. Koop, as his students call him, is proud to be a Legend at Lawler Middle School. He has been teaching theatre and acting professionally for over 30 years. During that time, he has been in 30 movies, 6 television shows, 15 commercials, and voice-over work for Cox Cable in Los Angeles.

Mr. Koop is passionate about giving each of his students the Theatrical Experience…an understanding of the art of acting.  “Theatre is about expression. It’s about being yourself, or becoming someone else. It’s gonna be a lot of hard work, but unlike most classes, theatre has a way of compelling and challenging students to grow out of their fear, and into their ability to overcome all odds.”

 

Whether your son/daughter has taken theatre before, or this is the first time to boldly go where they have never gone before, Mr. Koop is determined to give each student a theatrical experience and make it a fun time.
